Ashland Christian Church has many activities for Youth of all ages.

During Sunday morning Sunday School time, there are classes for Nursery (Ages 0-2), Preschool (Ages 3-4), Pre-K & Kindergarten (Ages 5-6), Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, Jr. and Sr. High.

During Sunday morning Worship time, there are two Junior Church options.

  1. The Wharf for Grades 1-6.  The Wharf is named after the Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco with the idea behind The Wharf to teach the youth how to be fishers of men.
  2. Launch Pointe for Pre-School – Kindergarten.  Launch Pointe is an age appropriate variation on the wharf providing a place where children can get introduced to Bible stories in a fun environment and make friends at the same time.

On Wednesday evenings during the Adult Bible Study and Prayer Meeting, the Jr. and Sr. High Youth meet. Also, during the school year, we have a Wednesday meal and youth groups for those in 1-3 and 4-6th.

The Jr. & Sr. High Youth Group is called Roots.  The intent of this group is to give them a solid foundation so that when they were faced with new experiences and choices they have solid Roots in place to help them with those choices.

The 4th-6th Grade Youth Group is called Stretch.  When kids are in a transition time where they are moving from kids to teenagers they don’t really fit totally in either category.  Therefore they are in a time where they are stretching and trying to figure things out.  The goal of this program is to provide them with a Christian support system while they are completing this transition.

For more information on any of these programs, please contact our Youth Minster, Adam Welch at the Church or E-mail him at ACC Youth.
